If you're an undergraduate interested in graduate school at UVA, you can send Ari an email to discuss your research experience and interests. Graduate students can join the lab through the Biology Department Graduate Program or the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program.

Postdocs:
We welcome applications from creative and motivated postdoc candidates. Please contact Ari for more information and to begin discussing your ideas.

Cell and Developmental Biology at UVA:

UVA has an outstanding group of interactive and innovative cell and developmental biologists in the Department of Biology and the School of Medicine. Many of us are located in modern open-plan lab spaces that facilitate interactions between lab groups, spark collaborations, and expand the realm of training opportunities for students and postdocs.

Charlottesville

We are located in Charlottesville, Virginia minutes from Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Mountains, but also close to major East Coast cities. Charlottesville is a vibrant and dynamic place to live with a strong sense of community. Also, the purchasing power of a first year postdoc at UVA is roughly equivalent to a salary of $99,000 in San Francisco, $90,000 in NYC, or $74,000 in Boston.
